The 2026 postseason has officially arrived, and with the high-stakes nature of the Play-In Tournament comes the perfect opportunity to hunt for outsized value in the player prop market. While standard over/under lines offer a baseline, we are looking for the ceiling.
By using our Pick Labs Ladders Tool, we can identify which players are statistically primed to shatter their projected totals. Below, we break down two "ladder" opportunities for tonight’s doubleheader—spots where the math suggests a massive edge on alternate lines.

VJ Edgecombe Three-Pointers Ladder: Magic vs 76ers
V.J. Edgecombe Three-Pointers Ladder
The Philadelphia 76ers enter tonight’s matchup against the Orlando Magic shorthanded with Joel Embiid still sidelined. While much of the pressure falls on Tyrese Maxey, rookie sensation VJ Edgecombe has emerged as the X-factor in Nick Nurse's rotation.
Since being selected in the first round of the latest draft, Edgecombe has lived up to the hype, averaging 16.0 PPG and logging heavy minutes (40+) in recent starts.
Pick Labs loves the volume Edgecombe is seeing from the perimeter. With Orlando’s defense likely to sell out to stop Maxey’s penetration, the rookie is going to find himself with a bunch of look-down catch-and-shoot opportunities.
The baseline for this ladder starts at 2+ Threes Made (-152). Our model projects a 70.1% win probability for this rung, giving us a solid 9.8% edge against the market. However, Edgecombe has shown the ability to go nuclear; he recently hoisted 8 attempts from deep against Houston.
As we climb the ladder:
- 2+ Threes (-152): 70.1% Win Prob | 9.8% Edge
- 3+ Threes (+193): 43.1% Win Prob | 9.0% Edge
- 4+ Threes (+503): 22.4% Win Prob | 5.8% Edge
The +193 for 3+ threes is the sweet spot. Edgecombe has cleared this mark in several high-leverage April games, and in a do-or-die scenario where Philly needs secondary scoring, he won't hesitate to pull the trigger.
If he finds his rhythm early, the +503 lottery ticket for four makes is well within his range, especially given he’s averaged 5.6 attempts per game throughout his debut season.
Bennedict Mathurin Assists Ladder: Warriors vs Clippers
Bennedict Mathurin Assists Ladder
The nightcap features a Golden State Warriors team traveling to the Intuit Dome to face a LA Clippers squad that looks radically different following the trade deadline — and Bennedict Mathurin has been one of the primary catalysts for that change.
Since arriving from Indiana in the Ivica Zubac trade, Mathurin has transformed from a pure bucket-getter into a legitimate secondary playmaker alongside Kawhi Leonard.
While the market still prices Mathurin as a scoring wing, Pick Labs has identified a massive edge in his assist milestones.
The Warriors' defensive scheme often over-rotates on Kawhi’s drives, leaving open lanes for Mathurin to find shooters or cutting bigs. Look at these projected edges:
- 2+ Assists (-113): 86.8% Win Prob | 33.8% Edge
- 3+ Assists (+251): 67.0% Win Prob | 38.5% Edge
- 4+ Assists (+650): 45.9% Win Prob | 32.6% Edge
- 5+ Assists (+1480): 27.1% Win Prob | 20.8% Edge
- 6+ Assists (+2700): 13.6% Win Prob | 10.0% Edge
The 38.5% edge on 3+ assists is a massive signal. Mathurin just dished out 8 assists against these very same Warriors on April 12. He also turned in a 6-assist performance against Toronto late in March.
The Clippers are increasingly using him in pick-and-roll situations, and his gravity as a 20-point scorer forces defenders to commit, opening up high-percentage passing windows.
If you're looking for a season-defining payout, the +2700 for 6+ assists isn't as crazy as the odds suggest. He recorded eight assists against this Golden State team just a few days ago — and he also tallied six assists in a game against the Raptors back on March 25.

Parlay Payout: +930
Although they may be fun, the top rung on our ladders for tonight our showing significantly lower edges than some of the mid-range options, so we are going to try to find the sweet spot by parlaying these two props at 3+ apiece for a payout of +930.
This is considered a long shot for the reason, and you should treat it as such. However, we are showing a huge edge at that price — with our Pick Labs models projecting a 28.9% chance of this parlay hitting, while +930 implies only a 9.71% chance.
