Following Game 1's amazing 4th-quarter comeback by the Knicks, the Cavaliers will try to recover and steal one from Madison Square Garden on Thursday. All eyes will once again be on the Jalen Brunson vs. James Harden targeting battle, but I will focus on another player to find an edge in this Eastern Conference Finals matchup.

Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson won't stop playing Sam Merrill. He's over 20 minutes for four straight games, logging 28 last night, scoring 12 points and shooting 3-for-8 from deep.
Merrill has recorded 65 three-point attempts out of 79 field goals in these playoffs, and is over 1.5 in five straight; and over 2.5 in his last two.
Typically, with 20 or more minutes, Merrill gets up at least five threes and seven or more at times.
We'll see if the Knicks blitz ball-handlers again and force 4-on-3 basketball, but even if they don't, Merrill will be a focus on offense for a team that jacked up 50 threes one game ago.
