Hornets vs. Hawks

By Bruce Marshall

We're not sure how much of a buy signal these last two wins are for the Hornets, but those results, along with a few other factors, make us believe Charlotte could offer some value tonight.

Those wins—a gritty, identical 105-102 scoreline against the Nets and Heat—suggest the Hornets aren’t throwing in the towel, as reflected by a preceding 1-point loss to the high-flying Cavs. The win over Miami on Monday was a showcase for Miles Bridges, who scored 35 points, while Mark Williams, who hasn't missed any time since his failed physical rescinded his trade to the Lakers last month, scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Atlanta certainly has the edge in potency, but note the difficulties it had with Charlotte earlier this season, with close 125-120 and 107-104 decisions in which the Hawks covered neither. Keep an eye on Trae Young's status too, after he missed (quad) Monday’s win over the Sixers. Play Hornets.

Pick: Hornets +8.5

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 2.5 3-Pointers

The Thunder visit the Celtics on Wednesday night in a matchup that could serve as a preview of the NBA Finals.

Given the talent on the court, one would expect the superstars to shine, and perhaps no player is standing out more at the moment than Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Thunder guard is currently the frontrunner for the MVP award, leading the league with 32.7 points per game.

One area where Gilgeous-Alexander has improved is his perimeter shooting. After averaging 3.6 three-point attempts last season, he’s up to 5.8 this year while increasing his 3-point field goal percentage from 35.3% to 37.3%.

OKC will need to match the Celtics’ perimeter shooting, as Boston ranks first in both 3-point attempts (48.0) and 3-point field goals made (17.8).

As a result, we can expect Gilgeous-Alexander to be aggressive beyond the arc and exceed his 3-point prop of 2.5 made field goals.

The Kentucky product has cleared this line in four of his last five road games and in two of his previous meetings against the Celtics.

The over is too good to pass up in this spot, especially considering we’re getting a solid price with odds at +105.

Pick: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 2.5 3-Pointers

Clippers vs. Heat

Miami's defense has tightened up at home, allowing just 110.7 PPG. They rebound well—45.1 RPG (6th)—limiting second-chance opportunities. The Clippers are struggling offensively, averaging only 109.3 PPG on the road and shooting 34.6% from three (24th). Miami’s offense surges at home, with 111.9 PPG and 47.5% FG. Tyler Herro (1496 points) continues to lead the attack.

The Clippers are on a back-to-back after a tough loss to the Pelicans, adding fatigue concerns. Their defense is slipping, allowing 113.2 PPG over the last five games, with opponents shooting 48.5% from the field. Miami’s ball movement is key, with Herro and Adebayo combining for over 10 APG. The Clippers are on a 2-10 ATS skid and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games. The Heat are 6-2 ATS in their last eight, finding their rhythm despite a four-game losing streak.

While the Clippers have dominated the head-to-head matchup, Miami’s home-court advantage shifts the balance here. The Heat’s perimeter defense (35.5% opponent 3PT) can limit LAC’s struggling deep shooting. The Clippers’ offense has been inefficient, with Harden’s 39.5% shooting dragging them down. Fatigue, combined with Miami’s defense, makes it tough for LAC to keep up. The Heat cover at home.

Pick: Heat -3

Jazz vs. Grizzlies

Ja Morant Over 33.5 Points + Assists
DraftKings Logo

By Alex Hinton

Ja Morant has recorded nine games with 20 points and nine games with six assists over his last 10 matchups. As a result, he has posted at least 30 points + assists in eight of those games, despite a few subpar shooting performances by his standards. Still, he is averaging 20.5 field goal attempts during this stretch.

However, I don't expect him to struggle much tonight.

The Jazz rank 29th in defensive rating, 25th in field goal percentage, and 22nd in points allowed in the paint – an area where Morant excels. Utah also ranks 28th in points and 29th in assists allowed to point guards. Additionally, Desmond Bane scored only 10 points on Monday after a recent hot streak of his own. Morant stands to benefit in the assist column if Bane (21.5 points line) bounces back.

In his last three games, Morant has comfortably surpassed this points + assists line, with 39, 38, and 41 combined. Both teams are among the top eight in pace this season. In this pace-up spot, I expect Morant to thrive once again.

Pick: Ja Morant Over 33.5 Points + Assists

Jazz vs. Grizzlies

Memphis Grizzlies Logo
Jazz +12.5

By Picks Office

Memphis is missing key players—Jaren Jackson Jr. and several bench contributors are OUT, while Edey is questionable. The Grizzlies are forced to rely on their deep bench. Utah, despite struggling, faces a short-handed Memphis squad. The Jazz have covered in 7 of the last 10 meetings. Memphis is just 1-10-1 ATS in its last 12 games.

Utah’s offense isn’t elite (112.5 PPG, 45.8% FG), but Memphis allows 116.8 PPG and struggles on the glass (43.2 RPG). The Jazz have an edge in rebounding (45.9 RPG), which is critical with Memphis missing big men. Memphis has been turnover-prone (15.5 TO/game), giving Utah extra possessions.

The Grizzlies' recent wins are misleading—they needed a huge comeback against Phoenix and barely edged New Orleans. Ja Morant is battling a shoulder issue. Utah has covered 18-15 ATS on the road, while Memphis is only 17-15 ATS at home. The Jazz should keep it within range, even if they lose.

Pick: Jazz +12.5

Houston has won 40 games and has been a great money team all season, winning their last three games, including a pair of victories over lowly New Orleans.
