Bulls vs Wizards NBA Preview

If the Wizards want to be in the group competing for lottery ping-pong balls, we are going to see a lot of two-way contract guys and G League players getting heavy minutes as we head down the homestretch of the season.

Washington did exactly that the other night against Brooklyn. The Wizards played Anthony Gill, Leaky Black, Julian Reese (44 minutes) and Jamir Watkins (44 minutes). Bub Carrington only played 17 — and Will Riley, the rookie who’s been playing really well, scored 30 and played 35 minutes.

The injury report for today and it’s very similar. Justin Champagnie is on the injury report, Bilal Coulibaly is questionable, Tre Johnson is questionable — and other key guys like Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Cam Whitmore, and Trae Young are still out.

At the very least, the Bulls are actually putting real NBA players on the floor. You’re going to see Collin Sexton, Tre Jones, and Guerschon Yabusele. I know there isn't a ton to love for that group — but they are still legit NBA guys.

The Bulls also played Phoenix tough the other night, and you’re still going to see guys like Isaac Okoro out there — these are real pros, not two-way guys. They can throw in guys like Rob Dillingham and Patrick Williams, too.

Bulls vs Wizards Predictions, Betting Analysis

The tank-a-thon is a full-go in Washington. The Wizards have allowed 150+ points in two of their last three games.

I just think Chicago will have better overall quality players on the floor than Washington — and the Wizards, especially against other tanking teams, tend to tank a little bit harder.

So I’ll take the Bulls -6 tonight. Chicago is just playing with a bit more pride than the Wizards right now.

Pick: Bulls -6 (-110)
