The Seattle Mariners took Game one of their three-game set against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday evening. Tonight, they'll look to clinch a series win by sending Bryan Woo to the mound.
Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson will oppose Woo. Both Woo and Anderson are having solid seasons thus far, so both teams, in theory, should have a fighting chance to pull tonight's game out.
Oddsmakers have the Angels as +138 underdogs, and the total is 8. I was able to craft up a 3-leg SGP that pays out nearly 14-1 on your original investment.
Here's your Mariners vs. Angels Same-Game Parlay with picks and predictions.

Julio Rodriguez Over 1.5 Total Bases (-130)
Rodriguez has had an injury-riddled 2024 season, but tonight draws an excellent matchup against Tyler Anderson. Rodriguez has not lived up to expectations when he's been on the field, but the favorable matchup tonight is why oddsmakers have his total base prop as a favorite.
Rodriguez has fared much better against left-handed pitching than right-handed, batting .283 with 6 HRs. His batting average drops by .40 points against righties.
He has also gone 3-5 with an HR against Anderson. Rodriguez has had a tough season, but his metrics suggest he is due for good fortune moving forward.
When he's been on the field, he ranks above the 70th percentile in exit velocity, xBA, and hard-hit rate. His xBA is .269, nearly .15 points higher than his current .255 average.
I like Julio to smack an extra-base hit, and I would even consider sprinkling an HR prop on the side.
Justin Turner Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)
Turner has not been what the Mariners hoped he would be after they acquired him at the deadline, but we can throw all those statistics out the window tonight.
Turner has become a platoon player for the M's, mostly playing against left-handed pitching. He has always done well against southpaws, but tonight's matchup is a dream come true.
Turner's numbers versus Anderson in his career are mind-blowing, as he's gone 18-38 with 8(!) extra-base hits against him. That is a .474 batting average, and I would be stunned if the Mariners did not bat him high in the order tonight.
He's only batting .197 in the past month and may finally be on a downward spiral in his career. However, none of those statistics matter, given the terrific matchup.
I can not believe the price we are getting on his total base prop, given his amazing success against Anderson. I do not care how bad he's looked lately, but I'll happily snag the +135 value and bolster the SGP.
Los Angeles Angels Moneyline (+138)
Many might wonder why we are adding the Angels money line to close out the SGP with two Mariners' hitters props in the mix. I simply do not think the Mariners are a good baseball team, and their bullpen has been a nightmare as of late.
The Mariners have played better baseball lately and are 4.0 GB behind the Astros in the AL West. Given their team circumstances, you could argue they want to win this game more than the Angels, but they are a fraudulent 69-66.
Their offensive numbers are atrocious, and the team ranks in the bottom 5 in runs, hits, and strikeouts per game (dead last). I have no idea how they have a +26 run differential.
The Angels are a scrappy team, and their younger players have done a nice job over the last couple of months. The matchup against Woo seems tough, but he still has a below-average strikeout rate.
They're also hitting .283 against Woo over 53 ABs, so there is potential for them to find success against him early. I have more faith in the Angels pen late in the game and find myself making these offenses more equal than most.
I'll fade 88% of the public and take the Angels to pull it out late.
