Cubs vs Phillies Preview, Parlay Picks
I’m backing the Cubs to get the job done on Wednesday and pick up another win in Philadelphia, primarily because I’m worried about Phillies starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo.
Luzardo started the season well, but he’s been a mess over his past two starts, allowing 20 runs on 21 hits with only six strikeouts across five innings of work. There are rumors in the Philadelphia media market that he may be tipping pitches.
Regardless, Luzardo’s confidence must be at an all-time low, and that should be a problem against a patient Cubs lineup that hits the ball well behind a strong middle of the order in Kyle Tucker, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Seiya Suzuki.
I’m betting that the Cubs win a high-scoring game behind Luzardo's continued struggles.
