Tim Kalinowski
Experience
Tim grew up idolizing his uncle, Mike Lynch, a famous sportscaster in Boston, Massachusetts. The opportunity to shadow his uncle throughout stadiums and locker rooms, interviewing Boston legends such as Tom Brady, David Ortiz and Zedeno Chara is where Tim truly fell in love with sports and media. When Tim wasn’t playing hockey or baseball, he was passionately tuning into Boston sports radio, obsessing over the art of the hot take.
Excessively competitive and a natural contrarian, Tim discovered sports betting as the ultimate scoreboard for his takes. Having an opinion isn’t enough for Tim, you have to be willing to put your money where your mouth is. Beyond that, he values an understanding and respect for what the betting market is saying. Aside from trying to gain an edge on his friends, that’s why Tim started to consume content from Sports Insights, and continued when it became one of the pillars that formed Action Network.
Tim sounds like a sports fan, but speaks the language of sports betting. That is why he was chosen among Action’s betting analysts and producers to host the Monday edition of the BBOC podcast. As someone who bets every day, but only enough so that he can bet again tomorrow, Tim has also become a trusted voice across Action’s NFL and NHL channels. Tim prides himself on the respect his coworkers have for him and being able to get the most out of fellow analysts in a way that is authentic, educational and entertaining.
