Cowboys 2025 Schedule & Betting Odds
Oklahoma State Cowboys Football 2025
The Oklahoma State Cowboys head into 2025 trying to get things back on track after a turbulent 2024. Once in the mix for the Big 12 crown, the Cowboys struggled with consistency, especially on defense, and faded out of the race down the stretch.
There’s still one reason to believe, and his name is Ollie Gordon II. The reigning Doak Walker winner returned after a dominant 2023 and followed it up with another strong season in 2024. When Gordon gets going, the Cowboys are tough to beat. But with the target squarely on his back again, defenses will be stacking the box early and often.
On defense, Kendal Daniels anchors the secondary after finishing near the top of the team’s tackle charts. The front seven has been a revolving door of production the last couple of years, but with returning experience and some younger depth, they’ll need to find answers quickly to compete in a deeper Big 12 field.
In terms of expectations, it’s a different story from last year. Oklahoma State currently ranks No. 93 in Action Network’s college football betting power ratings with a 62.3, putting them behind Buffalo and just ahead of Wyoming. That puts them firmly in the “prove it” tier for 2025.
Betting on the Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State Spread
Point spreads are your go-to bet for margins. Can the Cowboys win by enough, or at least keep it close if they’re the dog?
Example:
- Kansas State +2.5
- Oklahoma State -2.5
If the Cowboys win by a field goal or more, they cover. If they win by one or two, or lose, K-State bettors cash.
Oklahoma State has been all over the place when it comes to covering the number. They’ve looked sharp at home and shaky on the road. Know the spot, watch the line movement, and check injury reports, especially for Gordon.
Oklahoma State Moneylines
Moneyline betting strips the spread away. Just pick the winner, and you’re in.
Example:
- Kansas State +110
- Oklahoma State -130
Here, a $130 bet on the Cowboys returns $100 if they win. Take the dog at +110 and you’re getting $110 back on a $100 stake if K-State pulls it off.
Moneylines are a staple in parlays. If you’re not sold on a spread but like Oklahoma State to win outright, you can pair the ML with a total or another leg and boost your payout.
Oklahoma State Over/Unders
Over/unders, aka totals, are about combined points. Not who wins. Just how much scoring goes down.
Say the total is 58. If the final is 31–28? That’s 59, over hits. If it’s 27–24? That’s 51, under wins. If it lands on 58 exactly, you push.
Totals for Oklahoma State games can be tricky. When the offense is humming and Gordon’s busting long runs, the over is in play. But when they stall out and play field position, the under starts looking better. Matchup pace matters, so check who they’re playing and what kind of shootout potential exists.
Oklahoma State Props
Props are where you get creative. These are bets on individual stats, firsts, lasts, and quirky game events that don’t fall into spreads or totals.
Player props might include:
- Ollie Gordon over/under 125.5 rushing yards
- Gordon to score the first touchdown
- QB to throw for more yards than his opponent
Game props might include:
- First team to 20 points
- Will there be a two-point conversion?
- Which kicker misses first?
College prop availability depends on your state. If you can’t find them, DFS-style apps like PrizePicks offer player stat pick’ems with similar juice.
Oklahoma State Futures
Futures are bets that play out over the course of the season. Some you lock in before Week 1, others stay open all year.
Common futures include:
- Oklahoma State to win the Big 12
- Over/under season win total
- Ollie Gordon to win the Heisman
- Cowboys to reach a New Year’s Six bowl
If you think Mike Gundy’s squad rebounds and surprises in a wide-open Big 12, futures could be where the real value lives. But don’t wait, numbers shift fast after one big win.
