Knights 2025 Schedule & Betting Odds
UCF Knights 2025 Season Preview
The UCF Knights were one of the worst teams in the Big 12 in 2024, finishing with a 2-7 conference record and were 4-8 overall. This isn't likely to change in 2025 as the Knights lose a bulk of their offensive firepower with the departure of star running back RJ Harvey to the NFL.
One key point of optimism for UCF this season is the offense's overall experience. A large portion of the first string offense's key components are made up of true juniors and seniors. Quarterback Tayven Jackson will lead the offense and Harvey's primary replacement looks to be running back Myles Montgomery. Montgomery will need to come close to replicating Harvey's 1,844 yards of total offense from last year if the Knights are going to see any uptick in performance this season.
The Big 12 is expected to be one of the toughest conferences to play in in 2025 and UCF is not likely to be in the mix barring an unexpectedly excellent performance.
Betting on UCF
There are any number of ways to bet on UCF football this season. Bet on any of their individual games throughout the season, college football win totals, or the Heisman Trophy market. Individual game markets include popular bet types like moneylines, point spreads and totals (also known as an over/under).
Betting on UCF Moneylines
Let's look at an example of how to bet on UCF moneylines this season. In UCF's Week 0 matchup against Jacksonville State, they are listed as massive favorites. Here are the odds:
- UCF: -750
- Jacksonville State: +500
Suppose I place a $100 bet on the UCF moneyline. At -750 odds, a winning wager only returns $13.33 in profit. To win $100, I am required to place a $750 bet on the UCF moneyline. You can expect to see UCF listed as a heavy underdog in plenty of matchups this season and is especially in Big 12 conference play.
Betting UCF Point Spreads
Another way to bet on the UCF Knights this season is to bet on their point spreads. A point spread is essentially wagering on a handicapped number that moves the two teams in a matchup closer to even odds. For example, here is how the point spreads shake out for UCF vs. Jacksonville State in Week 0:
- UCF: -14.5 (-110)
- Jacksonville State: +14.5 (-110)
So, for UCF to "cover" the spread, they must win outright by 15 or more points. For Jacksonville State to cover the spread, they must either win the game outright or lose by 14 or fewer points. As you can see, the odds for the point spread are much closer to even, evidenced by the pair of -110 odds.
Totals for the UCF Knights
Another prominent betting market for UCF college football games this season is the over/under, or often called the total. A bet on the total is a wager on the total number of combined points scored in the game. Here is a look at an example for UCF vs. Jacksonville State:
- Over: 52.5 (-110)
- Under: 52.5 (-110)
A bet on the Over wins if both teams combine to score 53 or more points (i.e. a 30-24 final score). A bet on the Under wins if both teams combine to score 52 points or fewer (i.e. a 21-17 final score).
UCF player props & more
The availability of college props varies by state, and the list of states has shrunk in the last year after several college betting scandals.
If props are available in your state, you can find yardage over/unders for specific players (passing, rushing, receiving) touchdown props, and more. U.S. sportsbooks will offer far fewer markets for college players than they will for the NFL for a variety of reasons. If sports betting isn’t legal in your state or college props aren’t offered, you can use a platform like PrizePicks. It’s regulated as DFS, and allows you to pick player statistics to be more or less than the listed total. You can tie more and more stats together for bigger payouts.
