St. Francis (PA) vs New Haven College Basketball Betting Preview

I project 138.8 points for this NEC battle, so I’m willing to bet the Under at 142 or better, representing a minimum three-point difference between my projection and the market.

College Basketball Projections, Picks: Tanner McGrath's Power Ratings & Score Model Image

The last time these two faced off, New Haven scored 81 points in a 12-point road victory.

However, the Chargers shot a ridiculous 10-for-20 (50%) from 3, while the Red Flash shot a respectable 7-for-21 (33%) from beyond the arc.

The game finished with only 65 possessions, so if all else remains equal and we see significant shooting regression, this game should stay comfortably under the 142-point total.

For what it’s worth, I project both squads to average around 1.03 PPP across 66.5 possessions, equaling out to a game played in the high 130s.

My Pick: Under 142 or Better
