My pick for tonight's matchup between the Thunder and Bulls is Jalen Williams to score 15+ points.
Now, it might seem counterintuitive to bet a scoring prop in a projected blowout like this, with the Thunder currently listed as 19.5-point favorites — but I actually think the spot is fine.
I'm fine with it because Williams is clearly on a minutes restriction right now. We’ve seen him play totals of 20 and 24 minutes in games recently, so we can likely expect another shift in that time range.
I really like this opportunity because the books often look at public perception when they price these markets. They assume people will see a potential blowout and JDub on a minutes restriction and hammer the Under.
I view it differently. If he’s only scheduled to play 24 minutes anyway, I’m not worried about the "blowout" factor because I’m not chasing a massive ceiling. I just need him to hit his mark during his allotted "ramp-up" time.
If Williams is going to be on the floor for 20+ minutes, this is an excellent matchup to take advantage of, regardless of the score.
