Rays vs Blue Jays MLB Betting Preview
Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview
The Rays are looking to build off a 7-1 win in the series opener against the Blue Jays. They're sending out Drew Rasmussen, who has been their best pitcher this season, putting up an impressive 3.28 xERA and a 20.7 K-BB%. Tampa currently holds a 1.5-game lead in the AL East, but the Yankees and Red Sox are hot on their tail.
Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview
The Blue Jays have now lost five of their last six games, falling to last in the AL East and 5.5 games back of the last wild card spot with five teams ahead of them. Their postseason hopes are fading fast. They'll look to Kevin Gausman to snap the losing streak. The veteran righty has a rock-solid 3.88 xERA and a 17.9 K-BB% this year.

Rays vs Blue Jays Pick, Betting Analysis
I'm taking the Blue Jays ML in this spot.
Drew Rasmussen has hit a midseason wall. In his last two starts, he's given up a combined 11 earned runs in 7.1 innings against the Yankees and Astros. While the Blue Jays have ice-cold bats, so did the Yankees when he faced them on July 9th. Perhaps Rasmussen is starting to feel some effects of a heavy workload in a long season.
Kevin Gausman has had some dominant starts at home this season, including seven innings of one-hit ball against the Yankees on June 13th. I'm betting that we see a quality outing from the veteran righty in his first start out of the All-Star Break. Getting the Blue Jays at home at a -110 price feels appealing as they try to snap out of their current funk.
Pick: Blue Jays ML
