Rays vs Diamondbacks Prediction, Parlay Picks
Diamondbacks ML
The Diamondbacks are 13-9 and 6-4 at home this season.
Brandon Pfaadt takes the mound with a 3-1 record and 3.04 ERA.
Pfaadt seems to be in a good spot right now, as his command looks solid. He allowed only one run on five hits with six strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings in his last outing. I'm hoping he pitches well again on Tuesday.
The Rays are 0-3 on the road this season and have lost five of their past six games.
Over 8.5
Arizona ranks third among MLB lineups in runs per game, averaging 5.6.
The Snakes' lineup is even better at home, posting a .282 batting average with a .835 OPS.
They're also better against righties, and Tampa Bay's Zack Littell has been brutal to start the season, allowing 13 runs across his past three starts.
The Rays are excellent against righties, hitting .279 against the side compared to their overall .258 average. They should see success against Pfaadt.
I'm betting that both squads put up runs against two vulnerable starting pitchers.
Danny Jansen Under 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
Danny Jansen has been in a slump lately, hitting just .143 across the past week. He's now 6-for-48 this season, including 1-for-8 on the road.
It's also a tough matchup for Jansen against Pfaadt, and the Rays' catcher has never seen the Diamondbacks' right-handed starter before. So, I don't see Danny breaking out of his slump on Tuesday.
It may be a high-scoring game, but Jansen won't contribute any offense in this one.
