Braves catcher Drake Baldwin has been one of the best players behind the plate in MLB this season, representing the National League as the starting catcher in last week's All-Star Game.
However, Baldwin struggled in June as he returned from an oblique injury, going 3-for-48 at the plate.
His numbers are still recovering from that stretch, but yesterday's performance will certainly help. Baldwin went 5-for-5 with two solo home runs in the Braves' 8-5 win over the Rangers on Sunday.
That performance marked Baldwin's third consecutive multi-hit game. Another one tonight would give him two total bases, even if they're just two singles.
In total, Baldwin is hitting .500 over his last seven games with three home runs, 10 RBIs and a 1.397 OPS.
