The Philadelphia Phillies appear to be going through what's known as a World Series hangover. Philadelphia lost the Fall Classic to the Houston Astros in six games last October and the start of this season couldn't be going much worse for them.

Superstar outfielder Bryce Harper is still on the injured list. First baseman Rhys Hoskins suffered a season-ending knee injury in spring training and his replacement Darick Hall tore a ligament in his thumb in the first week of the regular season.

The Phillies are 8-12 and sit in fourth place in the highly competitive National League Eastern division. They'll look to get back on track at home against the Colorado Rockies, who have the fourth-fewest wins in all of baseball at 6-14.

Same-Game Parlay – Phillies vs Rockies

Aaron Nola 7+ Strikeouts

Nola hasn't looked quite like himself this season. He has a 5.91 ERA and 20% strikeout percentage after four starts. He hasn't struck out seven batters in any of his four starts this year.

However, Nola has a career 27% strikeout percentage and posted a 29% strikeout percentage last year. The Rockies also strike out quite a bit as a team. Six of the projected starters in the Rockies lineup have at least a 22% strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching this season.

I project Nola to have a 24% strikeout percentage for the rest of the season and have him projected for 7.5 strikeouts tonight.

Bryson Stott 2+ Total Bases

Stott has been perhaps the lone bright spot for the Phillies so far this season. He's hitting .360 with 32 hits in 20 games. Stott has been on fire at the plate, necessitating putting him in the leadoff spot ahead of offseason acquisition Trea Turner.

Colorado starter Noah Davis has only six major league innings under his belt, but also had a 5.54 ERA in 133 1/3 innings at Double-A last year. Hitting atop the order once again tonight, all Stott needs to do is slap a couple of singles or a double to get us there tonight.

Phillies -1.5

The Phillies got a great performance from starting pitcher Matt Strahm last night and still lost to the Rockies 5-0 at home. That simply can't continue. The Phillies are too good to be dropping a series like this against the Rockies, who seem destined to lose 100 games this year.

Philadelphia still has playoff aspirations if it can turn it around and hold the fort until Harper comes back. It starts with getting Nola back on track and Stott starting things at the top of the order.

I think the Phillies get right against the Rockies here and win comfortably.
