Red Sox vs Rangers Parlay Picks for Rafael Devers, Corey Seager, More

Red Sox vs Rangers Parlay Picks for Rafael Devers, Corey Seager, More article feature image

On Monday night, the Texas Rangers will head to Boston to begin a three-game series against the Red Sox. The series comes at an interesting time considering that both teams just completed series against the other's biggest rival. The Rangers dropped two of three against the Yankees while the Red Sox were swept by the Astros and have now lost their last four games.

Both teams will be looking to regain momentum as they try to hold their ground in the AL East, AL West, and AL wild-card races, respectively. Tonight's game will be started by Tyler Mahle and Brayan Bello. However, with a total of 9.5 runs, the offenses may rule the night.

Read on for my Red Sox vs Rangers parlay picks, which include props for Corey Seager, Rafael Devers, Masataka Yoshida and Josh Jung.

Corey Seager Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140)

In game one of the Rangers' doubleheader against the Yankees, Corey Seager went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. He bounced back with two hits and a home run in the second game and had another two hits yesterday, including a double. Seager has now hit this line in five of his last seven games, despite hitting .233 over that stretch. Extra base power has carried him as he has four home runs and a double in that span.

Seager's batting average is higher (.297) over his last 15 games, which is more in line with his .290 career mark. Seager has a hit in 12 of his last 15 games, hitting this line in nine of them. He is also 3-for-9 (.333) lifetime against Brayan Bello.

Bello did not pitch when the teams faced off in Arlington to begin the month, but Seager sure did enjoy facing Boston's pitching staff. He went 5-for-11 (.455) with three home runs and four runs batted in. Seager is +390 to hit a home run tonight on FanDuel.

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Red Sox vs. Rangers, 7:10 p.m. ET

Rafael Devers got a day off yesterday, but don't expect it to take long for him to make an impact in the middle of Boston's lineup. Like Seager, Devers comes into tonight's game with 25 home runs. He ranks 10th in the MLB with a .300 batting average and fifth with a .973 OPS.

Devers has not faced Tyler Mahle yet, but he is hitting .327 with 21 doubles, two triples, 21 home runs, 51 runs batted in, and a 1.099 OPS against right-handed pitching. Mahle looked pretty good in his first start off Tommy John against the Astros, allowing a run on five hits in five innings. However, he only threw 76 pitches and he may not extend much further than that tonight.

Mahle will also be making his first career start at Fenway Park, which is no easy task for any pitcher. Over the last three seasons, Fenway Park ranks second in the MLB in Park Factor according to StatCast. Devers is hitting .314 with a 1.018 OPS at Fenway Park this season and he has recorded two total bases in eight of his past 10 home games. He has also hit this line in 11 of his past 15 games overall.

Devers has 12 home runs at Fenway Park this season and he is +320 for home run tonight. For just two legs, Devers and Seager to hit home runs tonight is +1581 on FanDuel.

Josh Jung Over 0.5 Hits (-260)

Red Sox vs. Rangers, 7:10 p.m. ET

Josh Jung hit 23 home runs last season, but he has been limited to 15 games because of a wrist injury.

Jung is still trying to regain his power stroke as he has just one home run (that was against Boston) since returning.

Still, he has a hit in seven of his last eight games. He is also hitting .318 against right-handed pitching this season.

Masataka Yoshida Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)

Red Sox vs. Rangers, 7:10 p.m. ET

Meanwhile, you typically don't associate much power with Masataka Yoshida as he has just 18 extra-base hits in 68 games this season. However, he has totaled 18 bases in his past six games, clearing this line in four of those games. In that span, he is hitting .417 with two doubles, two home runs, five runs batted in, and a 1.167 OPS.

Yoshida is hitting .292 at home this season and his matchup against Mahle should be more favorable for him as well. Yoshida is hitting .306 with 15 extra-base hits against right-handed pitchers against .214 with three extra-base hits against left-handed pitchers.

Additionally, Yoshida is hitting .348 with a 2.1 run value against cutters this season and .290 against sliders, two pitches in Mahle's arsenal. That may help Yoshida lace a double off the Green Monster tonight and give us two total bases to cash this parlay.
