New York Mets Betting Preview: Looking to Stay Hot

The Mets have won seven of their past 10 and lead the National League East by 1.5 games. They're the more talented team in this matchup and will have their ace, Kodai Senga, on the mound.

Senga, who is 6-3 with a 1.60 ERA this season, beat the Rockies last week as he allowed just two runs over 6 1/3 innings, during which he gave up just two hits, walked a pair and struck out seven.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview: Can Senzatela Get on Track?

Conversely, the Rockies have been awful all season. Yes, they've won three in a row, but they're 12-50 and have a -181 run differential.

Tonight's starter, Antonio Senzatela, has given up four or more earned runs in seven consecutive starts and is 1-10 with a 7.14 ERA. He faced the Mets last weekend and that start didn't go well as he gave up seven runs on eight hits over four innings.

Mets vs Rockies Prediction, Betting Analysis

This system focuses on confident road favorites playing teams in the same league, early in a series. These teams are backed when their Pythagorean win rate suggests sustained performance and when environmental conditions — specifically high humidity — favor disciplined, road-tested clubs.

The market can undervalue these spots, assuming travel or setting changes might disrupt rhythm. But in reality, these sharp road teams often thrive under pressure, especially in familiar conference battles with short rest and sticky summer conditions that reduce offensive volatility and reward sound execution.

Overall, this system is 144-71 (67%) and has produced a 12% ROI.

Pick: Mets Moneyline

Moneyline

As mentioned above, I'm going to bet the Mets moneyline.

Run Line (Spread)

The Mets vs. Rockies run line is also intriguing. New York is much, much better than Colorado, so I have no problem laying the -1.5 in this spot.

Over/Under

I'm going to pass on the Mets vs. Rockies over under.
