MatchupS. Bieber (Guardians) vs. N. Cortes (Yankees)
First Pitch1:07 p.m. ET

Coming off a loss, the Cleveland Guardians will send out their ace and NRFI superstar Shane Bieber in the rain-delayed Game 2 against the New York Yankees.

Bieber picked up a NRFI in his first playoff start against the Tampa Bay Rays and is now 26-5 to the NRFI with a strong 15-3 road NRFI split.

Bieber's most notable matchups today will be against Aaron Judge, is 1-for-8, Giancarlo Stanton, who is 1-for-9, and Josh Donaldson, who is 3-for-10.

The Yankees will counter with Nestor Cortés. The lefty is 22-6 to the NRFI with a 13-2 home NRFI split. Cortes’ most noteworthy matchups today are against Jose Ramirez, who is 0-for-7, Steven Kwan, who is 0-for-3, and Amed Rosario, who is 2-for-3.

Despite the successes of both pitchers. The -165 price tag FanDuel hung on this game provides us with little value to take on the risk of the NRFI. For this game, I don't see a reason to play the YRFI, but I don't see a reason to swallow this much juice for a playoff NRFI.

Pick: Pass

MatchupS. Strider (Braves) vs. A. Nola (Phillies)
First Pitch4:37 p.m. ET

The second game on today’s slate is between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves.

The Braves will send out the hard-throwing Spencer Strider. In his young career, he has been absolutely phenomenal when it comes to the NRFI, posting an 18-2 NRFI record with an 8-2 road NRFI split.

The Phillies will counter with their ace in Aaron Nola, who is 27-4 to the NRFI with a 14-2 home NRFI split.

Strider has excellent numbers against the Phillies. He has held Rhys Hoskins, J.T Realmuto and Bryce Harper all hitless. Aaron Nola has faced this division rival many times in his career; Dansby Swanson, Ronald Acuna, and Austin Riley all have over 40 plus at-bats against him.

His most noteworthy matchup is newly acquired Matt Olson, who is just 3-for-15, and Travis d’Arnaud, who is 5-for-31.

The (-160) price tag placed on this game over on FanDuel is a bit lower than I expected. I had this game priced at (-175), leaving a slight edge to the NRFI. Spencer Strider is the best NRFI option on today's slate.

Pick: NRFI -160 (FanDuel)

MatchupT. Gonsolin (Dodgers) vs. B. Snell (Padres)
First Pitch8:37 p.m. ET

The last game on today’s slate is between the Dodgers and the Padres.

The Dodgers send out Tony Gonsolin, who is 21-2 to the NRFI with a 10-2 road NRFI split. The Padres will send out their veteran, Blake Snell, who has been nothing short of phenomenal this year in posting a 21-3 NRFI record with a 13-3 home split.

Gonsolin's most important matchups will be against Jurickson Profar, who is 5-for-10, and Manny Machado, who is 3-for-11.

Snell's most notable matchups will be against lead-off hitter Mookie Betts, who is 9-for-39, and Trea Turner, who is 3-for-15.

Snell has been great in the postseason thus far, Tony Gonsolin is the second-best NRFI option today behind Spencer Strider. The -140 price tag on FanDuel is a fair price and gives us an opportunity to play the NRFI.

Pick: NRFI -140 (FanDuel)
