Rockies-Brewers Player Props: Jackson Chourio Will Light Up Colorado
On Tuesday night, we backed Willy Adames and while we had to wait, he cashed with a double in extra innings. Tonight, I'm going with his teammate, Jackson Chourio, who has been lighting it up as well. Over his last 15 games, Chourio is hitting .339 with four home runs, 16 RBI and a 1.100 OPS. He has a hit in 14 of those games, including nine straight, and cleared this line in 11 of them.
Chourio has five doubles, three home runs and three multi-hit games in his last seven games. Any of those would give him two total bases tonight, and they will all be in play against Ryan Feltner. The right-hander comes into this start 1-10 with a 5.11 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and .281 opposing batting average. While pitching at Coors does not help him, his ERA is over four on the road as well.
Feltner has allowed eight doubles and nine home runs to right-handed hitters. Chourio is 1-for-2 against him and will have four to five plate appearances to hit this line. Additionally, his next home run will give him a 20/20 season as a rookie. He is +700 on DraftKings for a long ball tonight.
Blue Jays-Braves Player Props: Big Value on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The Blue Jays will be in Atlanta to begin a three-game set against the Braves. Max Fried will get the start for Atlanta, which you would think would lead to a long day for the Blue Jays' offense. However, there are not many bad matchups for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. these days. Over the last month, Guerrero is hitting .374 with 10 doubles, a triple, six home runs, 18 runs batted in, and a 1.113 OPS. Guerrero is 11 points behind Bobby Witt Jr. for the MLB lead in batting average and he may already have it if not a slow start in April.
Guerrero is 1-for-5 against Fried, with the one hit being a double. That is how he has done much of his damage of late as he has six doubles in his last 10 games. Guerrero is +360 on DraftKings for a double tonight.
Guerrero is hitting .337 against left-handers this season and .304 on the road. Meanwhile, Fried has a 4.05 ERA and .279 opposing batting average at home. Do not be surprised tonight if you see "Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubles to deep left center" as he cashes his total bases for the ninth time in 11 games.
Guardians-Dodgers Player Props: Back Mookie Betts Against a Lefty
In the night cap, a pair of division leaders will square off as the Guardians visit the Dodgers. As the Dodgers have gotten healthy, they have won 12 of their past 16 games. Mookie Betts is one of the bats that has returned to their lineup and he is hitting .301 with five doubles, five home runs, 22 runs batted in, and a .904 OPS over the last month.
Betts will enter today's game on a five-game hitting streak and he has recorded two total bases in three of those games. He also had two total bases in all three games against Cleveland last season. Tonight, he gets Matt Boyd, who he is 3-for-10 against lifetime. Betts is hitting .325 with 11 extra base hits against left-handed pitchers this season.
Meanwhile, in Boyd's four starts, he has fared well in three home starts against the Cubs, Pirates, and Rangers. However, in his road start, he allowed three earned runs and two home runs in 5 1/3 innings against the Yankees. I expect the Dodgers to join the Yankees in hitting a couple of homers off him tonight. Betts is +320 for a home run on FanDuel tonight.
