Matchup | J. Luzardo (Marlins) vs. A. Nola (Phillies) |
First Pitch | 6:40 p.m. ET |
We will travel to Citizens Bank Park today to find value in a NRFI between two National League East division rivals.
In today's matchup, Philadelphia Phillies ace Aaron Nola will face the Miami Marlins. Nola had an impressive season last year, posting a commendable 27-4 NRFI record, with a 14-2 home and NRFI split when facing batters for the first time through the order.
The right-hander allowed only 50 hits in 270 at-bats — a .180 average — and impressively yielded just one home run in that span. Nola has consistently dominated the Marlins' lineup, as evidenced by their individual stats against him: Garrett Cooper (4-19), Jazz Chisholm (0-7), Jorge Soler (3-10), Jon Berti (3-11) and Jesus Sanchez (1-8).
On the other side, the Marlins will counter with their rising star, 25-year-old left-hander Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo had a fantastic 2022 season, registering a 15-2 NRFI record, with an 8-2 road and NRFI split. Facing hitters for the first time through the order, Luzardo was just as effective as Nola, allowing only 27 hits in 151 at-bats — a .179 average.
Luzardo has also successfully neutralized the majority of the Phillies' hitters, including J.T. Realmuto (1-7), Alec Bohm (1-5), Trea Turner (0-2), Nick Castellanos (0-3) and Kyle Schwarber (1-3).
This NRFI is priced at (-130) at DraftKings Sportsbook.
As always, six outs to glory…
