Shayne Trail breaks down his favorite NRFI/YRFI bets of the day below, but you can follow all of his bets in the Action Network app.
Matchup | D. May (Dodgers) vs. S. Gray (Twins) |
First Pitch | 3:10 p.m. ET |
Today, our NRFI journey takes us to the iconic Dodger Stadium, where we're seeking value in an NRFI showdown between the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Getting the ball first for the Dodgers is right-hander Dustin May.
May has crafted a solid 5-3 NRFI record this season, improving his total to an impressive 10-4 since 2022. May's mastery is particularly evident when facing batters the first time through the order, as he's allowed a scant nine hits in 63 at-bats, yielding a minuscule .143 average.
May's experience against the Twins' lineup is limited, which could prove beneficial today. Slugger Joey Gallo is the only hitter of note who May has faced, and he's yet to get a hit off May, going 0-for-1.
May's counterpart in this matchup will be 2023 standout Sonny Gray. Gray's stellar season is reflected in his 7-1 NRFI record, establishing him as one of the premier NRFI pitchers in baseball.
Like May, Gray has been exceptional when facing batters the first time through the order, surrendering just 12 hits in 67 at-bats for a .179 average.
But unlike May, Gray has extensive experience against this Dodgers lineup and has dominated these matchups in the past. He's kept Mookie Betts to a 4-for-27 mark, Chris Taylor to 2-for-11, Max Muncy to 1-for-10, and Freddie Freeman to 4-for-12.
Despite the strong NRFI pedigree of these two pitchers, FanDuel is currently offering this NRFI at a fantastic value of -105.
As always, six outs to glory…
