MLB Home Run Picks for July 8

Roman Anthony (+850)
vs. Rockies (SP: LHP Kyle Freeland)

I don't love the lefty/lefty matchup, but these odds on Red Sox rookie Roman Anthony are too good to pass up.
Rockies starter Kyle Freeland has only allowed one home run to a LHH this season, but he's been close to a splits-neutral pitcher in his career when it comes to power.
The bullpen behind him is terrible, and the weather should be solid for hitting, with temps in the low 80s. WeatherEdge has this game as a 25% increase to HRs.
Anthony has shown great underlying numbers this season and has a ton of pop.
I have the true odds here nearly 200 points lower, making this a great bet.

Mickey Moniak (+725)
at Red Sox (SP: RHP Brayan Bello)

Mickey Moniak has been on a tear recently.
Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello has been a good matchup for left-handed hitters in his career, giving up an above-average HR rate (1.26 HR/9).
I have the true odds here more than 100 points lower, making this a great bet.

Byron Buxton (+275)
vs. Cubs (SP: LHP Shota Imanaga)

Twins All-Star Byron Buxton already has 20 homers on the season and nine in the last three weeks.
Cubs starter Shota Imanaga has been an absolute gas can for righty power this season, giving up 2.08 HR/9 to go along with a fly-ball rate near 60%.
The weather in Minnesota should be great for hitting, with temps in low 80s and wind blowing out at 8 mph.
I have the true odds here around +200.

Ronald Acuna Jr. (+300)
at Athletics (SP: LHP Jeffrey Springs)

Ronald Acuna Jr. has been one of the best hitters in baseball since coming back from injury and he's in a great spot today.
The matchup against Athletics starter Jeffrey Springs is a great one as the left-hander has been crushed by righty power this season (1.63 HR/9) to go along with heavy fly ball numbers.
Sutter Health Park is one of the best environments in baseball for hitting and the weather is great today with temps in the low 80s and wind blowing out at 10 mph during gametime.
I have the true odds today under +250.
