MLB Home Run Picks for May 9

Oneil Cruz (+460)
vs. Braves (SP: RHP Bryce Elder)

I don't love the conditions at PNC Park tonight, but the odds more than make up for it.
The weather is about average with the temperature around 60 degrees, but winds are blowing out at 9 mph. The matchup against Bryce Elder is a good one as he has struggled heavily with lefties in his career with a 1.22 HR/9 to go along with a 14.6% K rate.
Oneil Cruz's statcast data has been absolutely incredible this season — he ranks in the 99th percentile in nearly all power categories.
I have the true odds around +375, making this a great EV bet.

Junior Caminero Home Run (+525)
vs. Brewers (SP: LHP Jose Quintana)

I'm going back to the well on Junior Caminero.
The weather in Tampa Bay is great again with temperatures in the mid-80s during gametime, plus high humidity and wind blowing out slightly to center.
Caminero is a good power bat and grades out as a potential 30-homer hitter.
Jose Quintana has been a below-average matchup for righty power in his career, but he's getting up there in age and isn't the same pitcher he used to be. He grades out as a slightly above average matchup for righty power making this a great EV bet at big plus odds.

Jo Adell Home Run (+525)
vs. Orioles (SP: RHP Tomoyuki Sugano)

Jo Adell has struggled this season, but the odds and the spot here more than make up for it.
Outside of one start this season, Tomoyuki Sugano hasn't been that great. The fly-ball and hard-contact rates to righties are good and he's due for some pretty large negative regression with HRs.
The weather in Anaheim is good with temperatures in the 80s and wind blowing out slightly.
Adell has a 14.3% barrel rate, so the bombs should be coming soon enough. I have the true odds on Adell around +450.

Brent Rooker Home Run (+350)
vs. Yankees (SP: RHP Will Warren)
