Diamondbacks vs Reds Moneyline Prediction
The Diamondbacks offense is too talented to get held down for very long.
They were out of yesterday's game in the early innings and waved the white flag, but I expect a rebound performance in the series finale.
Reds right-hander Brady Singer is a hittable pitcher who does not appear to be making strides at this stage of his career, and Arizona has a low-strikeout lineup with plenty of upside in this park.
I am splitting this bet between the Arizona moneyline and its team total, as I really like them to score a pile of runs today.
Picks: Diamondbacks Moneyline (-125); Diamondbacks Team Total Over 4.5 (-137)
Dodgers vs Cardinals Pitcher Prop: Fade Kershaw
I'm 2-for-2 on this prop. Last time out was sweat-free as Clayton Kershaw managed just two strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings.
This is another subpar matchup for the future Hall of Famer.
Kershaw's SwStr% is down to a career-low 8.4%. He has more walks than strikeouts through four starts. After a 17.8% K% in 2024, Kershaw is down to 11.4% this year.
The Cardinals have the 11th-lowest K% against lefties this season. They're one of five teams with a BB% above 10% vs. LHP.
Kershaw's splits have been nearly even this season, but he did strike out 25.7% of lefties in 2024. Fortunately, the Cardinals should only have two or three lefties in the lineup.
Pick: Clayton Kershaw Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-105)
Mariners vs Angels Best Bet: Seattle Moneyline
By Bet Labs
The Mariners are a team to target on Sunday, according to Evan Abrams' "Momentum Favorites: Return Spot with H2H Edge" system.
This system in MLB identifies regular-season conference matchups where a favorite is poised for a bounce-back performance — the Mariners have dropped two close games to the Angels and enter Sunday on a five-game losing streak.
The team is coming off a recent loss in the head-to-head series by a modest margin (-16 to -1), but market confidence remains firm, with the closing moneyline set between -166 and -127 and public support falling within a moderate 25 pct to 69.5 pct range.
The team is also on a short road/home losing streak (between -5 and -1 games), indicating temporary dip, not collapse.
The theory is that motivated favorites in familiar conference settings — especially those with recent head-to-head losses and limited momentum — are undervalued by the market in return spots. This strategy exploits those mispriced opportunities by trusting the favorite’s underlying edge despite short-term setbacks.
