The sky is the limit for the 24-year-old, who is already a heavy favorite to win this year’s NL Cy Young Award. Through 18 starts, Misiorowski is 10-4 with a 1.62 ERA and a 0.76 WHIP.
His underlying metrics are equally dominant. Entering this matchup, Misiorowski ranks in the 99th percentile in xERA, xBA and strikeout rate.
He has dominated nearly every team he has faced, and the Pittsburgh Pirates are no exception. In three career meetings, Misiorowski is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP.
