Dodgers vs Cardinals Expert MLB Picks
The Dodgers have hit a bit of a cold streak, coming into this matchup after losing three in a row, including last night's series opener. In these three losses, the Dodgers have not scored more than two runs in any game, but that is about to change tonight.
The season-long numbers show that the Dodgers have been the best lineup in the majors, leading the league in wRC+. It goes without saying that they are a tough assignment for any starting pitcher, but they are poised to be especially tough on Cardinals' starter Michael McGreevy.
To his credit, McGreevy has pitched to a 2.97 ERA thus far. However, his inability to miss bats will prove a detriment against this Dodgers lineup. He has been fortunate so far with his xERA sitting at 5.62 and his FIP at 4.22.
Look for the Dodgers to ramp up the quality of contact made against McGreevy and provide the regression that his underlying numbers are pointing towards.
While the Dodgers lineup is the A-side of this matchup, we cannot discount the Cardinals and their five-game winning streak. St. Louis has averaged 7.4 runs per game during their current streak, and they are poised to stay hot against Roki Sasaki.
Sasaki has yet to live up to the hype since coming over from Japan last season. In his rookie year, he was roughed up before struggling with injuries and then appeared to find his way to the bullpen in the postseason on Los Angeles' run to a title.
However, his return to the starting rotation this season has not carried over well. Sasaki enters with a 6.35 ERA and 7.14 FIP. When he executes, his stuff is still solid as he can produce whiffs at an elite rate.
The issue has been his command. Sasaki is below average in CSW, first pitch strike rate and walk rate. His mistakes both in and outside of the zone have cost him, and he is running into this Cardinals lineup at the wrong time.

How To Make My Dodgers vs Cardinals Pick & Best Bet
The conditions at Busch Stadium tonight will be average, but the matchups for each of these potent lineups are about as good as they can get.
Neither starter is primed for much success. So, expect the bats to trade blows from the jump in this one as this game sails over the total.
Pick: Over 8.5 (-120, BetMGM)
