Dodgers vs Rockies Pick, Betting Analysis
The problem begins at the mound today. Both starters have had an awful start to the season, and Coors Field won't help them at all.
Only one of Roki Sasaki's three outings for the Dodgers in 2026 has been truly horrific (six earned runs in five innings against the Nationals), but the main issue is his control.
The Japanese pitcher has already issued 10 walks in 13 innings total, and in his previous start against the Rangers, he walked five batters.
While Sasaki is still an unfulfilled promise, Michael Lorenzen is who he is. The 34-year-old pitcher has a 4.15 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP in his MLB career, but is now a part of the Rockies rotation, with an 8.10 ERA and a concerning 1.85 WHIP so far in 2026.
Lorenzen has allowed 32 hits in 16 and 2/3 innings this season, which is terrible news when facing a Dodgers lineup that leads the majors in wRC+ with 138, and has yet to reach its full potential this year, with Shohei Ohtani hitting to a human .896 OPS with five homers.
Pick: Over 11.5 (-110, BetMGM)
