The San Diego Padres open a three-game series with the division-rival San Francisco Giants on Monday night at Oracle Park.
The Padres have struggled to meet lofty expectations this season as they currently sit fourth in the NL West. But San Diego has shown positive signs of late, winning seven of its last 10 games.
This trip to San Francisco won't be easy as the Giants have won eight of their last 10.
