The third and final game of this series gets underway Sunday with the NL Central's Pittsburgh Pirates hosting the NL West's San Francisco Giants.

San Francisco looks to complete the sweep after winning 6-4 on Friday and securing a 3-1 victory yesterday. Will the Giants take care of business once again, or can the Pirates end the series on a high note?

Here's a look at the odds, as well as my Giants vs. Pirates betting pick and prediction.

San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants enter this game in good form after winning four straight to keep themselves just 2.5 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. With that said, San Francisco's pitching deserves the credit far more than the hitting this year.

Entering this contest, the Giants rank in the bottom half of the league in hits per game, batting average and slugging percentage. On top of that, they rank 26th in Strikeout Rate against right-handed pitching.

This is where we will look to fade San Francisco on Sunday. Seven of the nine hitters in today's projected starting lineup possess a Strikeout Rate north of 22% this season.

These strikeout tendencies are likely to continue against right-hander Osvaldo Bido.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Bido returns to the starting rotation after coming out of the bullpen in his last appearance. The rookie right-hander has had an up-and-down campaign, posting a 1-1 record with a 4.44 ERA and 1.44 WHIP.

However, the punch-out has not been the issue, as he has recorded five or more strikeouts in three of his five starts. Boasting a five-pitch arsenal, Bido mixes his pitches and keeps opposing hitters honest.

Three of those five pitches possess a Whiff Rate north of 25%, which should benefit him immensely against the strikeout-prone Giants lineup.

Giants vs. Pirates Betting Pick

Not a single San Francisco hitter has ever seen Bido prior to Sunday, so it may take a few times through the batting order to figure him out. We just saw fellow right-hander Johan Oviedo record 10 strikeouts against the Giants in last night's game, so five punch-outs should not be too much to ask for from Bido.

In fact, opposing right-handed starting pitchers have recorded five or more strikeouts in nine of the past 10 games against San Francisco. With that said, if this line moves towards the over, I would lay more juice on over 4.5 Ks rather than taking this prop at five strikeouts.

Pick: Osvaldo Bido Over 4.5 Strikeouts +106 (Play to -120)
