After approximately 1.5 years out of MLB due to a PED suspension, Fernando Tatis Jr. is back and making his debut in the 2023 season.
The Padres star was one of the most dominant players in the league prior to his suspension, but he hasn't taken the field in an MLB game since the 2021 season. However, that's not stopping oddsmakers from listing Tatis with the same type of odds in his props that he would have held in that year.
San Diego will take on the ArizonaDiamondbacks this evening as it looks to creep back toward .500 on the year. Read on to see how Tatis is being priced in a number of markets ahead of the game.
Ferando Tatis Jr. Prop Odds
*Odds as of Thursday morning
It really doesn't feel as though oddsmakers are making any adjustment to the price of Tatis' odds. The slugger has the shortest odds to be the first player to hit a home run in the game (+440) and has the shortest odds to hit a home run at any time (+255) at FanDuel.
This game will include players like Manny Machado, Juan Soto and Christian Walker, but Tatis is still getting the most respect out of everyone in the slugging markets.
He's also listed at -290 to record a hit and +170 to record two hits. Tatis is being priced at -140 to record 2+ bases and at +145 to record 3+ bases.
The one market where Tatis is not getting any respect is in the triple market. Corbin Carroll has the shortest odds to record one at +1700, but Tatis isn't among any of the next eight players with the shortest odds.
