The Milwaukee Brewers enter play Friday tied with the Cincinnati Reds atop the National League Central division. The Brewers' current place in the standings makes this a pivotal series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Pirates are 4 1/2 games back, but face an uphill battle trailing two teams. With a lot at stake for the Brewers here, let's see if we can build out a same-game parlay centered around Milwaukee.

Same-Game Parlay – Brewers vs Pirates
Freddy Peralta Over 5.5 Strikeouts
Peralta has gone over this number in two of his last four starts. In fact, in two of his last four starts he's struck out at least nine batters.
Peralta doesn't work deep into games as he's yet to complete seven innings in 15 starts this season. Still, he's shown the ability to rack up strikeouts in bunches in a short amount of time.
Peralta has a 25% strikeout percentage on the season, but has a 28% strikeout percentage against right-handed hitters.
The Pirates have five right-handed hitters in their projected lineup, adding to Peralta's strikeout upside here.
Christian Yelich 2+ Total Bases
Osvaldo Bido will be on the mound for the Pirates in this one. Bido has a 3.45 ERA after three starts for the Pirates, but I don't believe he will continue to have success at the big league level as he had a 5.26 xFIP in Triple-A this season.
Yelich is in a good spot to put up some total bases tonight. He occupies the leadoff spot and has a .186 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.
We only need Yelich to hit a double or two singles to cover this leg of the same-game parlay.
Brewers -1.5
The Brewers clearly have the starting pitching advantage in this one with Peralta going up against Bido. The Brewers' offense hasn't been great, but they should have success against a pitcher who struggled in the minor leagues and is due for regression at the big league level.
If the game is close late, the Pirates have the eighth-worst bullpen ERA in all of baseball at 4.36.
With advantages all around the diamond, I see the Brewers winning convincingly in a much needed road win as they battled the Reds for divisional supremacy.
