Lionel Messi — 2+ Goals vs. Cape Verde (+235)

The greatest player ever, chasing history. Messi is tied for the tournament lead in goals with Kylian Mbappe, and already has a hat trick at this World Cup. He’s in the middle of what could be his final tournament statement, and even though Cabo Verde have been a wonderful story, they have no answer for what Argentina will bring.

This is as favorable a knockout matchup as Messi and the defending champs could have drawn, facing a side that has never played opposition of this quality. At +235 for a brace from the man who scored 6 in the group stage, the price is more than fair. Argentina will dominate. Messi will be central to everything. Back him to hit the net twice.

Luis Díaz — Anytime Goalscorer vs. Ghana (+150)

The most consistent performer for Colombia at the World Cup. Díaz has a goal involvement in 2 of the 3 matches Colombia have played — scoring against Uzbekistan, then scoring again and adding an assist in the win over DR Congo. No Colombian has done that in a World Cup since 2014.

For Bayern Munich this past season he posted 49 goal involvements in 51 appearances across all competitions. Ghana reached the knockout stage but have conceded goals in 2 of their 3 matches. Against Colombia’s attack, and with Díaz in this kind of form, +150 is a solid play.
