Penguins vs. Wild Preview
By Dana Forden
Penguins center Evgeni Malkin has had a rebound season. A lot of that is real, but I'm not so sure about his small rebound in shots.
He is averaging more shots per game, but he is attempting fewer shots per game than last year, which is a red flag this early in the season.
Also, this is a bad matchup for Malkin under the radar.
The Wild have been very good at staying out of the penalty box. They have taken the fewest penalties this season and had the seventh-fewest last season.
Malkin's shot rate is consistently doubled when he is on the power play as opposed to five vs five.
Best Bet: Evgeni Malkin Under 2.5 Shots On Goal (-190, bet365)
