This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Baltimore Ravens (0-2) face the Dallas Cowboys (1-1) to kick off NFL Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.

The Ravens are consensus 1.5-point favorites over the Cowboys across the board (Ravens -1.5), with the over/under currently at 47.5 points scored. Baltimore is a slight -115 favorite on the moneyline, while Dallas is -105 to come away with the win at home. All in all, this game is basically a coin flip.

Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the Ravens could very easily be undefeated, but they lost close games to the Chiefs (27-20) and Raiders (26-23) to start the season. On the other side, Dak Prescott has yet to hit his stride, as Dallas ran into the force that is the New Orleans Saints in a 44-19 Week 2 loss.

In injury news, Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson is expected to go after missing last week with his knee injury. DT Mazi Smith should also be available. Tight end John Stephens is out for Dallas. Meanwhile, the Ravens have a relative clean injury list.

Let's get into my Ravens vs. Cowboys predictions and my NFL picks for Sunday afternoon.

Spread

I'm not betting the spread in this game, given that the line is basically a coin flip. There's more value to be had in betting the Ravens on the moneyline.

Moneyline

Baltimore is the better team here, and I'm betting on them to show it and bounce back with their first win of the season.

Over/Under

I don't have a bet for the total, but it's always fun to root for points.

Pick: Ravens moneyline

Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Week 3 Preview

By Matt Trebby

While the Cowboys aren't 0-2 like the Ravens, there may be more cause for concern with Dallas entering this matchup.

The Cowboys were blown out last week against the Saints, who do appear to be for real this season. Dallas' offense, though, has only scored three touchdowns this season and was torched last week.

The running game may be a real concern for the Cowboys, who are averaging just 3.7 yards per carry this season. The top three running backs — Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn — are averaging 3.5 yards per carry on 36 totes this season.

The Ravens could easily be 2-0. If Isaiah Likely keeps his toe in bounds, a win in Kansas City is very easy to imagine. Then last week, Baltimore controlled the game for three quarters against the Raiders.

Unlike the Cowboys, the Ravens offense is thriving. Lamar Jackson has thrown for 520 yards on 6.9 yards per attempt while running for 167 more. Baltimore is averaging a whopping 5.7 yards per carry this season.

By Brandon Anderson

My gut tells me to fade Dallas against a real defense.

This feels like a classic Cowboys letdown spot. The Ravens might run all over them as Alvin Kamara did last week, which means it would be up to Prescott to keep up with his arm.

It’s time for the Ravens to throw the kitchen sink at this game after falling to 0-2 for the first time in the past decade. There are also a lot of trends favoring Baltimore here, as well.

Since 2010, teams that are 0-2 and lost both games by seven or fewer points are 28-16-1 against the spread when facing a team that is not 0-2. Without that threshold of close losses, 0-2 teams that face a team that isn’t 0-2 are 53-32-2 (62%) against the spread. When facing a 1-1 opponent, they’re 36-16-1 (69%).

Also since 2010, 0-2 teams are 19-7-2 (72%) against the spread when they were favored the previous week, just like the Ravens were against Las Vegas. When an 0-2 team faces a team that failed to cover the previous week since 2010, that team is 25-10 (71%) against the spread.

There are more trends like this that say Baltimore is the play this week. I’m backing Baltimore to throw its kitchen sink at Dallas and be successful in doing so.

Pick: Ravens ML -115
