Giants vs Eagles Preview

I like the Giants on the road this week.

The G-Men are banged up right now, which is no different than last week, and we wondered how they would move the ball against a great Broncos' defense entering that contest.

Well, the Giants scored 32 points against Denver in that game.

To be honest, New York actually should have won.

The Giants were leading by a score of 19-0 after three quarters, before blowing the lead in disastrous fashion, and similarly, this Eagles team is known to go missing on offense from time to time.

I'm not going to bother with the spread here. I'm skipping straight to Giants moneyline at +300.

This is an A-rated game in our Luck Rankings, which has hit above 60% historically.

There's no guarantee the banged-up players are going to play for the Giants, and I'm worried about their defense after playing a lot of snaps in Denver last week.

But at the same time, the Giants are constantly in these games they have no business competing in, and if their kicker didn’t do "Giants Kicker Things," we’re probably talking about an entirely different line here.

In our Expected Scores, which drive the Luck Rankings, the Eagles lost last week's game to the Vikings by eight.

Giants vs Eagles Best Bets, Moneyline Analysis

I think this is simply too many points for the current version of this Giants team.

The Eagles' and Giants' defensive numbers are actually pretty similar – neither team has been great.

I also don’t know where Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia running game has been; don't forget Jalen Hurts tends to go missing at times.

The Eagles seem to get lucky in some way every week and it's possible that happens again today.

However, our Expected Score model has the Giants with more Pythagorean wins than the Eagles.

According to our data, the Eagles should have somewhere around 2-3 wins this season.
