Why Florida State Can Cover
The Seminoles have the opportunity to prove themselves offensively. They're a rush-heavy offense led by running back Gavin Sawchuk and quarterback Tommy Castellanos.
Those two have combined to make Florida State a sneaky-good offense, as the Seminoles come into this game ranked 21st in yards per rush.
However, their high rush volume and effectiveness have also allowed Castellanos to beat opposing defenses over the top. He ranks eighth in yards per pass on only 27 attempts per game.
While Clemson's defense is a stout test on paper, we've seen it give up points in bunches to the likes of Duke, SMU and Syracuse.

This season has been a massive disappointment for the Tigers, and they're beginning to free-fall.
Head coach Dabo Sweeney is publicly criticizing officiating amid a two-game losing streak, and they need to win three of their final four games to reach bowl eligibility after beginning the year ranked fourth in the country.
Their inability to run the ball has made life harder for quarterback Cade Klubnik. The Tigers rank 81st in yards per rush and have been predictable on offense, passing the ball at the 20th-highest rate in the country.
Here, they'll be up against a Florida State defense that has held its own against the likes of Miami and Alabama. The Seminoles rank 16th in yards per rush allowed, and their defensive front has also disrupted the pass, ranking 18th in sack rate.
