My Wisconsin vs UCLA NCAAB Betting Preview
Is UCLA back? That's the big question after the Bruins snapped a four-game losing streak with a 24-point beatdown over Iowa.
The difference for the Bruins was their guard play. Dylan Andrews posted one of his best games of the season (13 points on 5-of-9 shooting) and Skyy Clark dropped 12 points of his own.
Can that continue against Wisconsin?
Well, the Badgers are putting a six-game winning streak on the line in this one, and they've been particularly impressive in their two Big Ten road games, beating Rutgers and USC by a combined 27 points.
Wisconsin has a significant edge in guard play, as John Tonje and John Blackwell have been tremendous this season.
UCLA thrives on its ability to force turnovers and turn those giveaways into points (13th in potential points off of breakaway steals, via Haslametrics), but the Badgers have veteran guards and pride themselves on taking care of the ball under Gard.
Most importantly, this is the best offensive team the Badgers have had in years. Specifically, they're elite from the free-throw line (86%) and have a deep arsenal of weapons both inside and outside. Wisconsin dropped 116 points on Iowa and 103 on Arizona.
Playing their final outing of a two-game West Coast road trip probably isn't beneficial to the Badgers. But they're so well-coached, have proven themselves in the league in road games and are just a better overall team than the Bruins.
