Nebraska vs Arizona State College Basketball Betting Preview

By: Bruce Marshall

Arizona State taking part in the College Basketball Crown is nothing more than an obligation on the part of the Big 12, which tried to send as many teams as possible to an event it had a hand in creating.

The Sun Devils don't deserve a postseason bid after losing 11 of their last 12 in a nightmarish finish to the season for beleaguered head coach Bobby Hurley, who's surely on the hot seat for 2025-26.

This campaign deteriorated rapidly after top scorer BJ Freeman was dismissed from the team in mid-February, and now guard Joson Sanon (12 PPG) has hit the portal, inking with St. John's.

Hurley supposedly has only seven scholarship players available on Monday.

Nebraska has to be one of the favorites of this event after spending much of the season on the Big Dance cut line.

Fred Hoiberg will be minus guard Rollie Worster (foot), but all-Big Ten guard Brice Williams (20 PPG) and forward Juwan Gary (14 PPG) have chances to end their college careers on high notes.
