My Georgia Tech vs Oklahoma College Basketball Betting Preview

Coming into the Battle 4 Atlantis, there were questions about how good the Sooners were. They started the season 4-0, but all four victories came in buy games.

Fast forward to this week, and Oklahoma is now ranked in the AP Poll (21st). The Sooners won the Battle 4 Atlantis, defeating Providence, Arizona and Louisville in the process.

Oklahoma proved it can win games with its defense (aka the title game against the Cardinals) and with its offense (aka the Arizona game).

We know Porter Moser wants his team to be tough defensively, and it has that with a unit that ranks 44th in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficiency metric.

But what is even more impressive is the offense. Jalon Moore has taken a massive leap this season on that end of the floor, as he is putting up 18.4 points per game to lead the Sooners. He has plenty of help, as well, with Jeremiah Fears and Kobe Elvis averaging in double figures.

Could a letdown be coming in this spot, though? It's entirely possible, and that's why I'm targeting the Yellow Jackets on the spread.

I know Georgia Tech has drastically underperformed to start this season, dropping a buy game to North Florida and getting handled easily by Georgia and Cincinnati.

But the Yellow Jackets still have experience. Baye Ndongo and Kowacie Reeves Jr. are back, and Naithan George looks much better over the last couple of games after a slow start. Plus, Lance Terry and Javian McCollum are seniors.

I'm not saying Oklahoma is going to lose this game; however, I think Georgia Tech keeps it within 10, as it looks to right the ship before ACC play while Oklahoma deals with a mini hangover from the Bahamas.
