While all eyes may be on the gridiron this Saturday, the real value is on the collegiate hardwood, particularly in the college basketball player prop market.
I'm starting with Ole Miss guard Jaylen Murray and finishing with a Pepperdine talent.
Let's dive into my top three college basketball player props.
College Basketball Player Props
- Jaylen Murray Over 4.5 Assists (+120) (bet365)
- Nolan Hickman Over 9.5 Points (-120) (DraftKings)
- Stefan Todorovic Over 5.5 Rebounds (+125) (bet365)
This matchup between Ole Miss and Memphis could very well be the game of the day. These teams will turn this game into a track meet, as they both rank inside the top 100 in average offensive possession length.
More scoring opportunities means more assists, and that is great news for Ole Miss guard Jaylen Murray.
Murray has been the Rebels' main facilitator this season, and he's been dishing out dimes at a high rate lately.
Over his last 10 games, he's recorded at least five assists in seven of them and has racked up at least six assists in four of those seven overs.
With the tempo high, we should see him exploit a pass-friendly Memphis team that ranks 333rd in assists allowed.
Next, we move to a veteran: senior Gonzaga guard Nolan Hickman.
While the Gonzaga big men lead the team in scoring, Hickman has been a consistent source of points for the Bulldogs this season.
Overall, he's shooting 49% from the floor and 48% from beyond the arc.
He and the Bulldogs have a tough matchup against the UCLA Bruins, who rank seventh in points allowed.
However, this is a volume play for Hickman, as his sharpshooting should get him over this number if he takes his typical amount of shots. He averages 8.1 field goal attempts per game but has had at least 10 attempts in half the games he's played.
With that type of volume, it's no surprise that he's gone over this total in seven of 12 games.
Look for Hickman to stay hot and continue hitting double-digits in the scoring column.
For our last player prop, we head out to Santa Clara, where Pepperdine forward Stefan Todorovic is being undervalued.
Todorovic, the team's leading scorer, has also done an excellent job on the defensive glass.
He's racked up at least six rebounds in eight of 13 games this season and is in line to clean up more missed shots tonight.
Santa Clara is a relatively fast-paced team that makes its living from beyond the arc, ranking 69th in 3-point attempts per field goal attempts.
The Broncos should control the tempo and take plenty of long-range shots. However, they're just slightly above average from deep, ranking 127th in 3-point percentage.
This should lead to plenty of defensive rebound opportunities for Todorovic.
