The Miami Heat (40-37) will host the Washington Wizards (17-59) in the NBA on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The game will broadcast live on FDSSUN.

The Heat are 17.5-point favorites over the Wizards on the spread (Heat -17.5), with the over/under set at 245.5 total points. Miami is a -2100 favorite to win outright on the moneyline, while Washington is +1100 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Wizards vs. Heat predictions and NBA picks for Saturday, April 4.

Washington Wizards vs Miami Heat Preview

The last time these two teams played was that infamous March night when Bam Adebayo scored 83 points in a 150-129 win for the Heat.

Miami, now in 10th in the NBA standings, absolutely needs a win to gain some play-in breathing room, or potentially jump up to that coveted sixth-place spot.

The Heat, at 40-37, are three games behind the Raptors and 76ers, who are tied for sixth place.

For the Wizards, Anthony Davis (finger), Trae Young (quad), Kyshawn George (elbow), Cam Whitmore (venous condition) and D'Angelo Russell (not even on the team like that) are out.

Alex Sarr (toe), Bilal Coulibaly (heel), Tre Johnson (foot) and Tristan Vukcevic (knee) are all questionable.

For Miami, Norman Powell (illness) and Terry Rozier (waiting to be released) are still out. Tyler Herro (foot) is probable.

Wizards vs Heat Betting Predictions, Analysis

Washington will be short-handed no matter what.

I like Will Riley over 14.5 points in this game. He scored 22 against Miami last month.

He's gone over this line in four of his last five contests; and in seven of his last 10.

Riley's had a consistent role as the Wizards have Swanton Bombed into the tank, logging 31.8 minutes per game over his last 21, including 13 starts.

That's to point out that, even in non-starts, he logs real minutes, logging no fewer than 25 minutes in any game since February 22 — the third game post-All-Star break.

Wizards vs Heat Prop Bet
