This article contains predictions for an old game.

The  Sacramento Kings (28-27) will host the Golden State Warriors (28-27) in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 10 p.m. ET from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The game will broadcast live on NBA League Pass.

The Warriors are 2-point favorites over the Kings on the spread, with the over/under set at 237 total points. Golden State is a -130 favorite to win outright, while Sacramento is +110 to pull off the upset.

Let's get to my Warriors vs. Kings predictions and NBA picks for Friday, February 21.

Quickslip

Warriors vs Kings Prediction

Spread

No injuries to report except for Jonathan Kuminga, who has been out but did practice on Wednesday. His return is getting closer, but it won’t be on Friday. Golden State is 3-1 with Jimmy Butler, all on the road, as is this game. How good are they now? They’re better. They’re not full-fledged contenders, it seems—at least not yet—but they’re better.

Are they good enough to bet on them at -2 in Sacramento? I’d lean that way. The Warriors are 3-1 ATS with Butler in all four games he’s played, all on the road.

Consider the competition, though: in Chicago, depleted post-trade deadline; in Milwaukee, without Giannis Antetokounmpo; at the Dallas Mavericks, who were playing their C-team (which defeated GSW); and finally, a legit win in Houston, who were without Fred VanVleet, Tari Eason, and Jabari Smith.

Moneyline

I think the moneyline is viable for Golden State here given that the line is just at -2.5. But if you like the Kings, this is the spot.

Over/Under

Pass. To prop world we go.

My Pick: Domantas Sabonis Over 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings NBA Friday Preview

Domantas Sabonis over 36.5 points, rebounds, and assists is too low. The Warriors will start Draymond Green or Quentin Post at the five, and no one should be able to stop Sabonis on the boards, at least for starters.

Additionally, from a scoring perspective, he'll face pressure, but there’s only so much you can do, especially with Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Malik Monk on the perimeter. Even if it’s "pick your poison," Sabonis is the poison the Warriors can't do much to stop.

Sabonis has posted 22-13-7 and 26-18-3 this season against the Warriors. I like this at 37.5 and 38.5 as well.

I also like Jimmy Butler to get over 4.5 assists. He’s done it twice as a Warrior and has had at least four in every game. He’s a playmaker, and those talents will continue to be utilized as he settles into this system.

The Kings’ defense allows 26.5 assists per 100 possessions, about league average, but his usage is up to 25 percent so far, which would be second only to Curry among active Warriors.

This is in the neighborhood of where he was during his peak Heat years, and for now, it’s exactly what the Warriors need.

Moreover, Butler’s assist percentage sits at 24.7, which I think has room for growth playing alongside Curry, but would only trail him and Green for now.

  • Domantas Sabonis Over 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
