Spurs vs Cavaliers NBA Preview

I’m taking Jaylon Tyson over 19.5 points + rebounds tonight.

Tyson has quietly been legitimately good for the Cavaliers, and with no Jarrett Allen and no Larry Nance Jr., his role has expanded in a meaningful way.

He’s been a genuinely productive wing on a team that badly needs help at that position.

Since re-entering the rotation on November 21, Tyson has delivered consistent box-score production: 14 & 8, 7 & 4, 15 & 9, 9 & 2, and most recently 17 & 5, 27 & 11, and 14 & 7.

This prop sat at 16.5 in his last few outings, but after multiple overs, the market pushed it up to 19.5.

Even so, I’m not letting this scare me off heading into tonight's matchup against the Spurs.

The matchup works in his favor, and Cleveland is using him in ways that consistently generate counting stats.

He cuts well, moves without the ball, and has been effective as a corner shooter alongside Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell.

He’s also running with the starters in many of these games, which gives him more opportunities on the glass — crucial for hitting the rebounds portion of this combo.

Spurs vs Cavaliers Prediction, Betting Analysis

I don’t love betting on the Cavaliers as a team — they’ve lost four of their last five straight up, and they’ve burned me both when I’ve backed them and when I’ve faded them.

However, Tyson is different. Cleveland clearly trusts him.

They’ve been high on him since preseason, and everything I’ve heard reinforces that they love his work habits, they love him in the locker room, and they love the developmental upside.

The on/off data backs it up, too: the Cavs are +3.0 per 100 possessions with him on the floor, and the offense is 5.7 points better per 100.

Pick: Jaylon Tyson Over 19.5 Points + Rebounds (-115)
