Orlando Magic vs Phoenix Suns NBA Preview

The Magic badly need a strong run coming out of the All-Star break, and they started off on the right foot with a 131-94 win over the tanking Kings.

Sure, it's only a win over the Kings — but hey, at least the Magic didn't play with their food.

The Magic went into the All-Star break having won five of their last eight games, and although they are only positioned seventh in the Eastern Conference standings at 29-25 — well below their preseason expectations — they are still just three games out of a top-five seed.

The Suns are seventh in the Western Conference, but they are 32-24 and one of the best stories of the season, relative to their modest preseason expectations.

Phoenix got crushed by the Spurs by a score of 121-94 on Thursday, which now gives them five losses in their last seven games.

The Magic and Suns have yet to share the floor this season. So, no recent matchup history worth considering here.

Franz Wagner (shoulder) is out indefinitely for Orlando. Jalen Suggs (back) is questionable.

For Phoenix, Devin Booker (hip) and Cole Anthony (not with the team) are out.

Grayson Allen (ankle) is questionable and Haywood Highsmith (knee) is undetermined as of Saturday morning.

Magic vs Suns Betting Predictions

I'm not expecting a ton of points from two defensive-minded teams who are also without Devin Booker, Franz Wagner, and possibly Jalen Suggs in this spot.

The Suns are tied for the second-most home Unders (9-19), and Orlando is tied for the ninth-most road Unders (11-14).

Magic vs Suns Best Bet

  • Under 217.5 (-110)
