Magic vs Hawks NBA Monday Preview

These are the two hottest teams in the Eastern Conference right now.

The Magic have won seven straight games and are quietly up to 5th place in the Eastern Conference standings — just two games behind the Cavaliers, who lost at home to the Mavericks yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Hawks are now positioned 9th in the conference at 36-31, sitting half-a-game out of the eighth seed; as well as two games behind the Raptors, who hold the more coveted sixth spot.

The Hawks have won nine straight games, which is the longest winning streak in the NBA right now.

Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is questionable for Atlanta tonight.

Franz Wagner (ankle) remains out for Orlando, as well as Anthony Black (abdomen) and Jonathan Isaac (knee). Jett Howard (illness) is questionable.

Magic vs Hawks Picks, Betting Predictions

During their winning streak, the Hawks have beaten only one possible playoff team, and that was the Sixers, who were without Joel Embiid, Paul George, and VJ Edgecombe in that game.

All but one of those nine wins came at home, and this is the first time the Hawks will face a legitimately good team (or at least on a good run) entering a contest.

The Magic's seven wins are much more credible, and Paolo Banchero is playing his most consistently impactful hoops of the season, even with Wagner and Black sidelined.

Of those seven wins, the Magic throttled Minnesota by nearly 30 points on the road, beat the Cavaliers at home, and held off the Heat again on the road.
