Nets vs. Wizards Preview
Why in the world, one might ask, are we bothering to take the Wizards after they gave up 162 points to the Pacers in their worst-ever franchise loss a few days ago?
That's actually one of the reasons, as the humiliation bounce-back is one of the recurring angles worth following in the NBA. The night before, Washington did manage to beat the Sixers, and first-round 7-footer Alex Sarr has now scored 20+ points in consecutive games.
This is also a vote against the current iteration of the Nets, who appear dead in the water, injuries having torn the team asunder.
The losing streak is now six for Brooklyn, as the defeats are becoming progressively worse, including back-to-back 30-point losses to the Raptors and Clippers.
Washington has also handled Brooklyn rather easily in two previous meetings between these teams in February before the bottom had fallen out of the Nets' season. I'll take the Wizards to cover the spread tonight.
