Rockets vs. Grizzlies Player Prop Pick
Reed Sheppard has had a couple of poor shooting games in a row, which have led to just mediocre box scores or slightly lower minutes (e.g. against Minnesota last time out).
However, his role in the Rockets' starting lineup still puts him in an elite position regarding this prop, and I'm happy to deal with the ups-and-downs here.
Sheppard is averaging 10 potential assists per game after being inserted into the starting lineup four games ago, and that number was only pushed down after a poor last game.
He is a perfect ladder target too. In his good games, Sheppard goes way over these numbers due to the team shifting more of the offensive burden to him from Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun — and the Grizzlies' porous defense is an ideal target for him to do just that.
Pick: Reed Sheppard Over 4.5 Assists (-115)
Jazz vs. Nuggets Player Prop Prediction
Action PRO is projecting 21.5 points for Ace Bailey in the Jazz's matchup against the Nuggets tonight, providing a solid 11.1% edge against his current prop line of over/under 19.5, which is is strong enough to mark the Over with a B grade in our database.
Bailey scored only 15 points in the Jazz's 23-point loss to the Wizards a few days ago. However, prior to his latest outing, Bailey scored 25+ points on 20+ field goal attempts in three straight games, while getting all the way up to 30+ points in two of those contests.
Despite only scoring 15 points last time out, Bailey still jacked up 19 shot attempts in that game, but he only made seven of them (36.8%).
The volume should be there for Bailey to get back up to 20+ points tonight. Let's just hope he makes a few more shots than he did last game.
Pick: Ace Bailey Over 19.5 Points (-120)
Mavericks vs. Trail Blazers Player Prop Bet
Action PRO is projecting 15.0 points for P.J. Washington in the Mavericks' matchup against the Trail Blazers tonight, showing an excellent 11.6% edge against his current prop line of over/under 13.5, which is is good enough to tag the Over with a B grade in our system.
Washington has scored 18+ points in five of his last six games, while breaking 20+ points in three of those contests.
We expect that trend to continue for him in tonight's matchup against a Blazers squad that ranks 8th in pace and 20th in points allowed per game on the season.
