The San Antonio Spurs shocked the world by upsetting the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the first game of the Western Conference Finals on Monday. Victor Wembanyama put on a masterful performance with his starting point guard out of commission, and now the two powerhouses will run it back in Game 2 on Wednesday.
Continue below for our NBA player props for Spurs vs. Thunder Game 2 on Wednesday, May 20.
NBA Player Props for Spurs vs Thunder Game 2
- Isaiah Hartenstein Over 4.5 Rebounds (-101)
- Ajay Mitchell Over 10.5 Points (-101)
Isaiah Hartenstein Over 4.5 Rebounds
Isaiah Hartenstein was hardly playable against the Spurs in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. The Thunder center recorded just two points and two rebounds in a playoff-low 12 minutes. Expecting him to bounce back in a major way in Game 2 might be a little ambitious, but he can definitely improve upon his latest performance.
San Antonio opted to leave Hartenstein open when he had the ball on the perimeter in Game 1. His lack of an outside shot rendered him useless during OKC's offensive possessions.
The Thunder will likely game-plan around that tactic to keep one of their best rebounders on the floor on Wednesday, though. His interior presence has been vital for the Thunder against all kinds of opponents in 2025-26.
Hartenstein has paced the Thunder with 10.1 boards per contest over his previous two seasons. While he struggled with health issues this year, his effort and production on the glass have been consistent when he's available. His matchups against San Antonio are no exception.
Hartenstein tallied 11.0 rebounds per contest through three regular-season meetings with the Spurs, and Wembanyama played in all three matchups while scoring just 18.4 points per game. This year's Defensive Player of the Year put tremendous pressure on OKC with his offense on Monday, though.
Wembanyama will still be a major factor with De'Aaron Fox trending toward making a return to the hardwood, but he'll likely have the ball in his hands a little less. That will help Hartenstein.
Bettors should jump at the chance to double their money by wagering on a low rebounding total for a player who regularly leads the way for his team on the glass.
Pick: Isaiah Hartenstein Over 4.5 Rebounds (-101)
Ajay Mitchell Over 10.5 Points
Ajay Mitchell thrived as the fill-in for Jalen Williams in the second round, averaging 22.5 points per game against the Lakers. He came crashing back down to Earth when Williams returned to the hardwood for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, but will likely remain heavily involved in OKC's offensive game plan.
Mitchell logged 34 minutes off the pine in Game 1, and his offensive impact was significantly affected by Alex Caruso's unexpected 31 bench points. Caruso is averaging less than 7.0 points per game for the first time since 2022-23, and it's unlikely that his Game 1 shot volume will carry over into Game 2.
Mitchell is the top-scoring option for OKC's second unit. He might not eclipse 30 minutes in regulation, but he did average 18.9 points on 14.4 shots per 36 minutes during the regular season. In fact, he tallied 10.0 points per contest in his two regular-season meetings with the Spurs this year.
OKC will need a spark plug if Chet Holmgren and Hartenstein continue to struggle on offense in Game 2. Mitchell is one of the best, if not the best, candidates who can benefit from that.
