Knicks vs. Timberwolves
By Joe Dellera
I'm going to take Karl-Anthony Towns in a revenge-spot against his former team on Tuesday night.
In the Knicks' first matchup of the season against the Timberwolves, Towns wasn't all that impressive, finishing with only 15 points and 10 rebounds.
However, in the meeting before their latest matchup, dating all the way back to last season, Towns exploded for 32 points and 20 rebounds, and he's still more than capable of putting up those kind of numbers on any given night.
Towns is always fired up when he faces his former team, especially when the game is in Minnesota like tonight.
So, I'll back KAT in the King of the Court market.
Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns King of the Court
Nuggets vs. Mavericks
Fine, I'll take the chalky option here. Give me Nikola Jokic.
Most of the usual suspects are either in tough spots or aren't playing tonight.
Luka Doncic will be sidelined for the Lakers tonight. Giannis Antetokounmpo is out for the Bucks. Victor Wembanyama is listed as questionable, and even if he does play, he will likely be on a minutes restriction. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder are playing on the second half of a back-to-back.
So, I see the most value in backing the obvious option, which is Jokic.
Pick: Nikola Jokic King of the Court
Knicks vs. Timberwolves
With OG Anunoby sidelined for the Knicks tonight, the idea of Anthony Edwards popping off for a big game really intrigues me.
This feels like one of those spots where Edwards can and will take million shots and finish the game in the 40-point range.
So, I'll take a fun one and back Edwards to be our King of the Court.
Pick: Anthony Edwards King of the Court
Grizzlies vs. Jazz
By Sean Little
No offense to Bryan, but I believe my King of the Court pick for tonight is even more fun than Edwards — I'm taking Keyonte George.
I mean, the Jazz play the Grizzlies tonight, so I could see a scenario where George goes out there and posts his first 40-point game of the season in this spot.
Even if you set aside the favorable spot against Memphis, George has been absolutely cooking for the Jazz lately, averaging 27.5 points per game over his last eight games or so.
So, I'll roll the dice on Keyonte tonight.
