I’m taking Giannis Antetokounmpo over 30.5 points tonight against Washington.
This number feels light for Giannis.
Antetokounmpo put up 37 points against the Wizards in the opener, and he did it in only 27 minutes.
Yes, he’s on some level of minutes restriction right now, but I’m not convinced it matters.
When Giannis is on the floor, he gets any shot he wants.
He can shoot whenever he wants, he doesn’t need to pass, and honestly, he barely needs to dribble because his strides are so long.
All he’s trying to do is score the basketball.
I especially like the matchup because the Wizards are weak in all the areas where Giannis thrives.
The Wizards give up plenty of free-throw opportunities, they’re poor in transition, and they struggle to defend put-backs.
That’s basically the Giannis starter pack.
Even looking at his production this season, he’s averaging over 30 points per game for the Bucks.
Even if you project lighter minutes — say, around 30 against Washington — I still like his chances of scoring a point per minute.
Giannis is a player who can put up monster numbers anytime, and even though he hasn’t had a true Giannis-explosion yet, he already has two 40-point outings and several more in the 30s.

The Wizards’ issues are just as appealing when it comes to this prop.
They rank 29th in transition defense, and the thing that drives me absolutely bonkers about them is that they play fast.
I am begging that team to slow down.
When the Wizards actually run offense and defend in the half-court, they’re bad — not terrible, but bad.
However, when they try to run and be this young, fun, “look at us go” team? Awful. They are horrible.
Giannis should absolutely dominate in this spot.
